Dinner with Shane

Date: 21st March 2009
Venue: BBQ Village Chinese Restaurant

After the Mission Forum, Shane invited us for dinner. She's
a friend who i can share my feeling with....We always share
about our difficulties in the ministries and always encourage
& uphold each other in prayer. We know that we will be
frustrated, will be disppointed, will be let down, will
be hurt if we serve with our flesh..... but God is the source
of strength, we will be renewed if we continue to trust in Him
and serve in the way He wants us to........

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not
grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:30-31)

I can do everything through him who gives me strength
(Philippians 4:13)

Forum about Mission

Date: 21st March 2009

Missionaries presented at Mission Forum to answer all sorts of
questions posted to them about mission. They shared about
difficulties in learning new languages, their faith while they were
at mission field, etc. Their stories & testimonies encouraged us.
We had a time for prayer after the forum. While i was praying,
a lot of images of face flashed across my mind..... Yes!!! They
are the people i will have to share the gospel to...... i may not
be able to go to other countries to do mission.... But, hey!!!
the people who need gospels are just all around us......

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.
Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone
in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men,
that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
(Matthew 5:14-16)

So, be bold and be strong in sharing the gospel.....!!!!

The cheapest food that i have ever bought.......

Date: 20th March 2009
Venue: Morisson

Due to credit crunch, i was "trained" to spot on food with yellow tags.
Why yellow tags? Because those are items with discount. hahahha!!!!!
As usual, doing shopping with my trained skills..... spotting yellow tags!!
and suddenly.......i spotted a pizza with yellow tag.... with any hesitation,
i picked it up and looked at the prize...... i was shocked......i looked
carefully at the price tag... it said....was £1.69 now 09p......
09p???? means only 9p??? will it be 90p?
I quickly ran to ask Nelson to double confirm the price.... it's really
9p....... Wow..... this was the cheapest food that i have ever bought.....

I was very grateful as i was given an opportunity to attend the 3rd

2) Moves & Groves by Madeline Norris & Ruth Jacombs
I learnt a lot of new songs and new movement activities to engage
the children. Hopefully i can implement in the pre-school and

Ms.Lee or Mrs.Ho

I were talking to two of the children in the Kids club. They asked me
What my surname is... i told them that i'm Miss Lee or they could
call me Mrs.Ho. They wanted to look at Nelson's photo, so i showed
them the picture that i have in my purse.

Suddenly, one of the child told me that her parents has just
divorced. She told me a lot of things about the parents and
she seemed so calm when she talked about that. This made
me felt heart broken.

Then, before she finished, another girl jumped into the
conversation and told me that her parents actually are
not married. I was hit by another surprise!!
Oh... i was speechless at that time. I'm not sure
what actually happened to this society..... i heard a lot of
things about this country and i can't accept some of the
values that they have................ Pray that God will work in
this country....This country used to be a place with lots of
strong Christians...... Pray that God will heal this nations.

Date: 11th March 2009
Venue: Elim Selly Oak Church

We attended the Elim International Prayer Day. Kris was the organizer
of this event and she really put a lot of effort in involving brothers
& sisters from different countries. We were very honoured to
represent Malaysia and to share with brothers & sisters on
Malaysia's current situation and asked them to pray for Malaysia.

Brothers & sisters from different countries shared on the prayer
requests. We had representatives from India, China, Burma,
Phillipines, Congo, South Africa and Korea. We prayed especially
for the countries where the Christians & churces are facing persecution.
We could sense the presence of the Holy Spirit and we know that God
listens to our prayer......

It's Alex & Wendy's 10th Wedding Anniversary. We were blessed

Horrific accident in the bus

Date: 2nd March 2009
Venue: On bus number 23

After working in the Pre-School, i went to the city centre to buy something.
I took bus 23 which will take me to the city centre. I could say that the
driver did not give me good impression at the first place as he drove
recklessly.

When it almost reached the destination, i pressed the bell and walked
towards the front of the bus to wait for the bus to stop so that i could
get down from the bus at the bus stop. There is a traffic light before
the bus stop, and i did not know what happened, the bus driver made
a very sudden stop and i quickly grabbed the bar nearby to prevent
myself being flung.

The next second, i heard a big bang just beside me. The bang was just
like someone throwing a heavy luggage and fling it on the floor.
I quicly turned to the side and i nearly fainted when i saw an
old lady actually fell and lay on the floor. She was having difficulties
in breathing. I was so shocked that i could not shout at all.

Then, the next second, a lady and a man quickly came to the front and
notified themselves as nurse and doctor while the other man called
ambulance. The nurse placed the lady in recovery position and
called the old lady to make sure she's concious. I was shocked
again when i saw that lady's head was bleeding.........I prayed to
God at that time to save this lady so that she would not in dnager.

That reckless driver seemed did not feel sorry for this incident.
He told us that he tried to avoid a car in front of the bus which
stopped suddenly in front of the traffic light. He asked us whether
we saw any BLACK car in front...... BUT, most of the passenger
felt that it was the driver's fault who drove recklessly that caused
the accident.

After about 5 minutes, the paramedics came and examined her.
Later, she were brought to the hospital by ambulance. I really
prayed that the old lady would be alright..........and hope that
the driver will not escape from punishment if he's the one
who caused the accident.

Lunch at Buffet Island

Date: 28 February 2009
Venue: Buffet Island
475 Tyburn Road, Erdington, B24 8DX

We went to Buffet Island for lunch after the "How to Lead the Bible Study"
training at Elim Church Centre. Nelson heard from his colleague that
this restaurant offers a good range of buffet food.
It is stated that the lunch buffet is until 4.30pm. We went there
at about 2.30pm with empty stomach............ Em.... However, to our
surprise, we did not see a good range of buffet food. There were not
much choices and the most terrible thing was that they stopped top up
food after 3pm. Basically, we were like eating the leftover food......
I really do not know what to say......haha

Pretend to be happy with the food.......

Pretend..... also
