Telford Wonderland

Our nursery has organised a summer trip for children. We visited
the Telford Wonderland. This is a place where the children are
able to see their favourite fairytales or nursery rhymes characters.

The parents accompanied their children to the park but we needed
to look after those children whose parents were not with them.
I was incharged to take care of a 2 1/2 years old child, named Rose.
She's very cute and with a pair of big eyes. I needed to hold her hand
all the time and it made me feel like holding my own kid's hand. Besides
than that, i need to carry for bag & bring her to the toilet is neccesary.
haha!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scone Making

Venue: Jill's house

We gathered at Jill's house as usual and Jill taught us how to make
scone. I made it once and it's not difficult and i can say that it's
definitely much tastier than the one available at the supermarket.

Sunday service at Sunbridge Road Mission Church & lunch at Leeds

Venue: Sunbridge Road Mission Church, Bradford

We had the Sunday service at one of the English church in Bradford,
Sunbridge Road Mission Church. I am very inspired by the talk of
of speaker about be aligned with God's plan & church's unity.
The whole church sang the children Christian song "Our God
is a great big God" with all the children before they collected
the offering.

After the Sunday service, we went for dinner at a Chinese Restaurant
at Leeds. Thanks to Bobby again for his kindness in giving us a treat.

Dinner at Sweet Centre Restaurant

Date: 28th June 2008
Venue: Sweet Centre Restaurant, Bradford

Bobby gave us a treat the so called "most famous" authentic Indian food
restaurant in Bradford after 1 hour drive back from Hull.
He was so excited that he ordered 5 dishes of STARTER and 2 main
course. He also introduced us a type of drinks, Mango Lashi which
is a mixture of mango and yogurt cream..... it's really yummy!!!!!

Hull trip

After we were back from Humber Bridge, we strolled in Hull's city centre
before Audrey went to work.

Humber Bridge Trip

After Beverly, we headed Humber Bridge. The Humber Bridge is the
fifth largest single-span suspension bridge in the world, near Kingston
upon Hull in England. The bridge carries an average of 120,000 vehicles
per week, which pay a toll of up to £2.70 each way. By comparison,
the Forth Road Bridge carries an estimated 224,000 vehicles per week.

Beverly trip

Venue: Beverly

We stayed overnight at Bob's house. We were blessed to have Bob's wife,
Esther prepared wonderful breakfast for us (bacon & sausages, mushroom,
tomatoes & toast)



After the breakast, we went to Hull to fetch our two sisters, Angeline
and Audrey. We have taken ages to decide where to go and finally we
we headed for Beverly.


This lane is named as Dog & Duck Lane.... hehe


Beverly High Street

After about 1/2 hour walk on the high street, we were quite hungry.
So, we started to look for food. Bobby would like to have fish and chips
but seems like Nelson preferred Subway. Finally, all of us went for Subway.
We have ordered "2 can dine" which included 2 subway, 2 coke & 2 chips.
Bobby was not quite happy eating at Subway...... haha!!!!!!!!

We were brought to ringing chamber where the chuch members
demonstrated the bell ringing sequences and techniques. Besides
than the demonstration, we did have the opportunity to ring
the smaller bell in 2 sequences taught.

After that we were brought up to the belfry where we were just in front
of the "giant" bells.
St Mary's has a ring of ten bells, the tenor weighing in at 35cwt
(Bell ringers don't do metric, but for younger, non-bell ringers, that's a
modest 1.75 tonnes!). The bells are well-known in ringing circles for
their quality and tone. They are rung for services, weddings, and
sometimes just for the fun of it.



Later, we were brought to the tower roof.

Journey to Bradford

Date: 27th June 2008
Venue: Leeds Train Station

After work, we went straight to Bradford to visit our old friends, Bobby & Bob.
We stopped at Leeds Train Station. Before we departed, we took a photo at that
train station. We reached Bradford at around 7.30pm and we were blessed to
have Bobby came to fetch and even blessed to have Bob's wife prepared
delicious dinner for us.
