Good Friday Communion Service

Date: 21st March 2008
Venue: Selly Oak Elim Church

Today is Good Friday. We attented Good Friday Communion Service
at Selly Oak Elim Church. The service started with praise and worship
led by Nathan & Bethan. Then short message by Pastor Damian.
Although the message is short but it's really touching. After the message,
Pastor Malwyn led the communion where each and everyone of us were
encouraged to think of God's love and have our own quiet time.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son,
that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have
everlasting life. (John 3:16)

First visit to Birmingham Children Hospital

Date: 21st March 2008
Venue: Birmingham Children Hospital

Today is Good Friday. It's a holiday for Nelson so we planned to sleep
a bit late. At about 8.30am, we received a call from Hazel saying that
her elder daughter, Han Ying has been vomitting since last night.
(She has been having temperature since 4 days a go)
As today is public holiday, the General Practice (we call "clinic"
in Malaysia) is not working, so she has to send her to the Children
Hospital. So, she seeked for our help to send her to hospital.

I don't really know how to describe my feeling when i was in the
hospital with Hazel and her 2 daughters (Han Ying, 3 years old and
Amy, 1 year old). I just felt that it's very difficult to be a mother,
especially to take care two little children by herself. I know that
one day i'm going to experience all this...... May God grant me
wisdom and strength to be a good mother.

Gift for my dad and TY the great

National Insurance Number application

Date: 20th March 2008
Venue: Job Centre Plus

A National Insurance (NI) number is a personal number used:
i) record a person's NI contributions and credited contributions
ii) it is needed when claiming social security benefits.
A NI number should only be given to one person and must only be

used by that person. There are circumstances when, by law,
you must apply for a NI number.

With this, i have to apply for an NI number because i'll be start
working on 8th April 2008 (YEAH!!!!!). Before you apply, you need
to call the centre and make an appointment with Job Centre Plus.
On that day, you need to bring all relevent documents for application.

My appointment is at 1.15pm. I reached there at about 12.30pm and

thought of waiting in the lobby but i was chased out by the guard.
So terrible...... i wandered at city centre and went back at around 1pm.
I reported myself to the receptionist and later a guy (looked like
men in black) came and "escorted" me to the lift and asked me to
go to level 1. It's really scary!!!!!!

I was entertained by a nice lady and she has made the application
process simple and short. I'll be getting my NI number after 3 weeks.
Thank God for the smooth process.
