It's great to be invited to Tong Tong's house for dinner. I was really
grateful to Liping as she's the one who introduced me to work
in Vivian Road Pre-School.

Goodbye Wen Liang!!

Em....i still remembered we met Wen Liang at BCEC in early of 2008.
Nelson was very excited to know that he's from Tawau, Malaysia.
So, invited him to our house for 2008 Chinese New Year reunion dinner.
He's a nice friend.

He is now at his umcle's house and will be back to Birmingham for graduation
ceremony. We will be going to miss him. Hopefully we can meet him when
we go back to Malaysia.

Birmingham International Food Fair 2009

Venue: Birmingham Victoria Square & New Street

After the Harborne Carnival, We went to the city centre. We thought of
just hang around in the city centre until it's time to go to the church.
Suddenly we discovered the International Food Fair at the Victoria Square.
I felt very excited about it. I just been to a biggest Carnival and now
another fair. We visited the stalls and the food are too expensive
to buy.

Harborner Carnival 2009

Date: 28th June 2009
Venue: Harborne High Street

This was the annual Harborne Carnival. I heard from Jill this was one of the
biggest carnival in Europe. The whole Harborne High Street was blocked.
We went there at about 12.30pm and it was so crowded and so hot.
We just been there for about 30 minutes as we wanted to rush to
BCEC for Sunday Service in the afternoon.

Dinner at Nikki's house

It was great to be invited to Nikki's house for dinner.
Nikki is the children's full time worker in Selly Oak Elim church.
She's a fun & energetic person. And her facial expression is always
so rich that she even does funny funny face expression
while she is talking to you.......She will be getting married in
November. May God bless this couple (Nikki & John) abundantly.

Trip to Italy

We had been on trip to Italy for 5 days 4 nights. It was a pleasant trip
apart from the scary thing happened on the Metro.....

International Extravaganza 2009

Venue: Selly Oak Elim Church

Thanks to Zaia who has put a lot of effort in making this International
Extravanganza a success. Before the event, we had International dinner,
where brothers & sisters from different countries brought their local
food to be shared. After the dinner, we had games and of course
we were entertained by the dances and songs from different countries.

Dinner with Nige

Date: 15th June 2009
Venue: our home

It was great to have Nige at our home for dinner. I should say
that it's blessing to meet and know her. I was still remembered
there was one Friday we went toFriday Bible Study in BCEC as
there's no Life Cell meeting. Shane introduced Nige to me.
Shane told me that she's looking for job in the nursery so maybe
i can have a chat with her about that. Well, we did not chat
much on that night actually.

Then, i arranged another time for her to meet me so that we
can chat more about that. We met at Subway for lunch and
from there i knew more about her struggles and worries in
finding job. At that time, i thought i'll be leaving my workplace
soon, why not i introduced her to my manager. So, i got her an
appointment with my manager and she had interviewed. Now
she's hired.... Wow... Praise the Lord......

I just speechless when i looked back at the whole scene....
what i can say is " God makes all things beautiful in His time!!!!"

Birthday celebration in BCEC

BCEC celebrate brothers and sisters birthday monthly. All the brothers
& sisters who were born in June were invited to stage. Brothers & sisters
sang us a birthday song and Rev Cheung prayed for us. Xu Yong, Zhang Lei,
Liang Qian are June's babies.... hahahhaa
