Ooooh....... what happened to Google????!!!!!!!!

Date: 29th March 2008
Venue: our home

Nelson was doing internet surfing..... suddenly.........
Nelson yelled very loudly!!!!!!! He discovered that the Google's
background has turned to black colour.
He refreshed the page and it's still black.......He thought that
there's problem with the computer..............

Later only he realized that they purposely made it black in order
to promote the Earth Hour concept.

Earth hour is an international event that asks households and
businesses to turn off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances
for one hour on the evening of 29 March at 8 pm local time until
9 pm to promote electricity conservation and thus lower carbon
emissions. It may also help reduce light polution in 2008, coincides
with the beginning of National Dark Sky Week in the USA.

The Cube is coming !!!!!!!!!!

Date: 24th March 2008
Venue: Behind the Mailbox

While we were walking outside of the Mailbox near the canal,
suddenly Nelson saw a very impressive construction site.

According to him, who is a civil engineer himself, it seemed like
there had been a deep excavation which involves bore piling
retaining wall and steel anchorage to retain the wall. It was
thought that the retained ramp is for the machineries to operate
within the site. For those who are civil engineers, you might
find these photos interesting. To him it's absolutely fantastic!
(information given by Nelson.... thanks dear)

Easter lunch with Malaysians

Date: 23rd March 2008
Venue: our home

We had invited 6 Malaysians to our house for Easter lunch. Everyone
is required to bring a dish.
Special thanks to:
i) Kang Kang - prepared ham sandwiches
ii) sis Ngiik Yan - prepared spagetti
iii) Denise - Roasted chicken wings
iv) Kris - curry & fried chicken nuggets
v) Jin Xiang - Tiramisu (desserts)
vi) Tsien Chien - Chips

After the lunch, we had 3 games
i) Guess who am I
- Each and everyone of us was required to write our birth date,
favourite colour, your strength, your weaknesses & your plan
for your future on a paper. Then, i read out what have we written
and others were required to guess who is that person.

ii) The most in the world
- We were divided into 2 groups. Then, I gave an adjective,
eg: smallest. The group members were required to send a
representative from their group. Then, I revealed what are the
smallest item that i want from them. eg: smallest nose.
Then, both team need to compete.

iii) Follow after me
- We were divided into 2 groups. The first person in the group
was given an action. (eg: Jackie Chan is picking the flower on the roof)
The first person needed to pass the action to the second person by
acted it out. The last person needed to guess the action acted by
the second person.

We had lots of laughter while we were playing these games.
After the games, we sang 3 songs:
i) Hari ini
ii) Dalam Yesus kita bersaudara
iii) Because He lives
God sent His son, they called him Jesus,
He come to love, heal and forgive,
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He live, all fear is gone
Because i know, He holds the future,
And life is worth the living, just because He lives

After the praise and worship, sis Ngiik Yan shared with us about
the crucifixion of Jesus and the resurrection of Jesus.
He is risen!!!! After the sharing, Kang Kang shared about his
testimony, how Jesus changed his life.

Hope that you will get to know Jesus more and know that
He is risen and He loves us so much......................
