Fire !! Fire !!!!

I cannot remember when this happened. It happened in the
pre-school that i was working in.

While all the children were playing during the free play time,
suddenly one of my colleagues, Putti smelled something.
She quickly checked around and discovered some smokes
were coming out from the air conditioner attached
on theceiling. She quickly shouted to make everyone alert. In
just a few seconds, the smoke turned into black think smoke and
it smelled bad. Every staffs quickly evacuated all the children and
meet at emergency assembly point.

While everyone was busy evacuating the children, suddenly i noticed
two little children (aged 3 years old) were still sitting at the
drawing table while other children had left the building.
Wow!!!! without any hesitation, i dashed to "save"
them. They were still playing when i grabbed them. Oh no!!!
i yelled at them and thank God that they stopped playing and
three of us managed to leave the building safely.... wow!!!!

The firemen came and they identified that it was due to short
circuit in the air conditioner. The owner of the building was
also there to check the building's condition. The children
were temporarily placed at the St.Mary Primary School's
art room while their parents were informed to collect their
children earlier.

I truly experienced how great is a teacher's responsibilty
and love when it come to deal with emergency. At that point of
time, what you care about are the children / students. At the
point of time, what you think about are the students that you
love and you want them to be saved. No wonder, the teachers
sacrificed their lifes to save the students in the Sze-Chuan
earthquake.

Evacuate the children from the building and meet at assembly point

Firemen are about to enter the building
