Shout to the Lord

I saw the video clip on Top 8 of American Idol performed
"Shout To The Lord" on 9th April in TY the Great's blog.......
At first, i thought i heard it wrongly.... as this is the first time the
praise song is
being aired on public tv.

So, i quickly checked on the internet to get more info. This was the
Idol Gives back to raise money for a number of worthy causes around
the world.

I was a little disappointed they changed "My Jesus" to "My Shepherd"
on the night they performed. I don't really know what was the reason
they altered the lyrics and surprisingly they changed it back on the
next day's opening of the show......What were the 8 contestants' feeling
when they sang this song? To worship our mighty God or just as
performance?

There are a lot of comments that you can read in the internet.
Some are positives but some are not........ Whatever are the comments,
I just felt that we should not forget that our God is great and mighty
God.

Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord from heavens,
praise Him in the heights above.

Praise Him, all His angels,
praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.

Praise Him, sun and moon,
praise him, all Your shining stars.

Praise Him, You highest heavens
and your waters above the skies.

Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for He commanded and they were created.

He set them in place for ever and ever,
He gave a decree that will never pass away.

Praise the Lord from the earth,
You great sea creatures and all ocean depths.

Lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,
you mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
wild animals and all cattle,
small creatures and flying birds,
kings of earth and all nations,
your princes and all rulers on earth,
young men and maidens,
old men and children.

Let them praise the name of the Lord
for His name alone is exalted,
His splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
(Psalms 148: 1 - 13)

Note:
Shout to the Lord is a popular worship anthem, written by singer/
songwriter Darlene Zschech in 1993, published by Hillsong Music
